Dear Delegates,
Welcome to UPMUNC 56! My name is Amish Sethi, and I am excited to be your chair for Deng Xiaoping’s Cabinet. Planning for this conference over the last few months has been a pleasure, and Collin and I look forward to sharing a wonderful experience with you!
A little bit about me! I was born in Dallas, Texas, and moved around before settling in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am a second-year student enrolled in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at Penn, majoring in computer science. I am also a member of Penn’s South Asian Society and compete for our Aerial Robotics and Data Science clubs.
Participating in Penn's competitive Model United Nations Team INTERCOL brings me immense satisfaction. I have also previously taken on the role of chair for ILMUNC, a conference organized by Penn for high school students. When I'm not involved in MUN activities, I take pleasure in watching reruns of my favorite shows How I Met Your Mother and Brooklyn 99, playing basketball, and going on walks around Philly. Thank you for being a part of this experience, not only for yourselves but also for us. Without further ado, welcome to the Board of Dissolved Directors!
Collin and I are aware that committee may be fast-paced and a little overwhelming, particularly in a setting like crisis. Our goal is to create an enjoyable and productive weekend that should be as stress-free as possible. Collin and I will try our best to create a conference atmosphere that supports meaningful discussion and cooperation, with new friendships hopefully formed by the conclusion of committee.
We are excited to meet you all and can't wait to welcome you to Philly. If you have any questions about the committee, please email me or Collin!
