Dear Delegates, 

Welcome to UPMUNC 56! My name is Genesis Capdevila and I’m thrilled to be one of your Chairs for SPECPOL this year. I am a rising junior in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Legal Studies & History. My family immigrated to the United States from Nicaragua and I was raised in Miami Dade County. At home, I love thrifting and going to the beach with friends. 

At Penn, I serve as the Director of Sec Board for the International Affairs Association (IAA), a student organization that promotes international relations and diplomacy on campus. Outside of the International Affairs Association, I choreograph dances for on-campus gigs and show performances as the Vice President of PennHYPE, a hip hop dance team on campus. In my free time I like to listen to music, explore the city with friends, and watch really bad Netflix reality TV shows.
